The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

All metal prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with mounting hooks and nails.

Playful portrait of what could almost be a young 'flapper' from the 1920s, except this graphite and watercolor was painted circa 1883-84, by American artist James McNeill Whistler (1834-1903). Whistler painted at least one other similar watercolor of Milly, but (unlike other models with whom Whistler was romanatically involved) we know nothing about this gamin and haughty-looking young woman. As Whistler was in Venice for fourteen months around this time, it's conceivable Milly was someone he met while living there (sharing a decaying palazzo with fellow American painter John Singer Sargent; imagine the parties!)
